Zanafi takes his name from a 1920's district Berber commissioner from Taznakht in southern Morocco - called Amghar. These precious flat-weaved blankets were made during this time upon his request and bare therefore his name. Zanafi rugs are usually derived from fair trade projects and dedicated to tribal Moroccan handmade rugs from weavers of Anti-Atlas mountains. All rugs are flat- weaved and made out of natural hand-spun wool and eco-friendly dyes. Their designs also combine knowledge of the Berber culture alongside their traditional weaving techniques.
