Monument is a collection of shelving units design by Mathieu Girard and Gauthier Pouillart - from French based agency Atelier Cocorico. Monument relies on an ingenious construction system that does not require any tool. The visual strength and stability results into a brutalist piece baring a strong sculptural presence: two imposing “cross” columns that constitute the superstructure are a visual signature of the shelf, and enhance any objects or books being displayed. La Chance is a distinguished French publisher of furniture, rugs, and lighting featuring the works of many cutting-edge designers.
