Experimenting with metal design is Max Lipsey's field of choice. From his family background; his mother an artist and his father an architect - he has acquired both aspects as a reflex of perfection. He realises his ideas and offers a multitude of objects and furniture pieces combined in diverted metal - originally an industrial material - steel takes on another function and reveals itself in a more aesthetic form.
Steel Vessels bring the weight and the quality of a steel industrial part to another level and allows it to play into a home environment. Its form is re-purposed from a ,vessel head’, a pressured gas-part usually produced for tanks. While the original curve of the bowl purpose used to serve and distribute pressures evenly in the tank, the soft and elegant shape makes it a perfect vessel to welcome various objects lying around the house. Added to the design a light welded- wire support compliments and holds the vessel's head.
