This old sword was used for ceremonial purpose by the Ngala tribe in Congo. The Ngala were mainly composed of warriors people. This particular piece, served during ceremonies possibly during the late 19th Century. The blade of the sword is incised with detailed iron work while the scabbard and hilt of the dagger are finely decorated with worn brass wires. Stand included
